Our classrooms have been buzzing with practical science experiments, impressive written work, and engaging visual learning activities this week.

🔬 Investigating Forces and Weight
Our students have been getting to grips with physics by using newton meters to measure force and weight.

S2 created a structured data table comparing their initial “hypothesis (N)” against the actual “outcome (N)” for everyday items, including a paper bin, a bag of clips, a fan, cheerios, bananas, and bread. A class member is proudly presented his experimental findings at the whiteboard with a big thumbs-up. Another student used a spring scale to weigh a framed piece of artwork, actively presenting his process to the class.
🧠 Brilliant Brain Comprehension
Our students are also producing some exceptional comprehension writing.

Hollie completed a fantastic, detailed handwritten report focused on the anatomy of the human brain and its blood supply. She carefully documented fascinating facts, noting that the soft organ weighs about 1.4 KG and is divided into two halves called hemispheres. Staff were incredibly proud of the hard work she put into her cursive handwriting.
⏱️ Tactile and Visual Learning
We always encourage hands-on approaches to mastering foundational skills at Springwell Lincolnshire.

One student in Pathway has been utilising a brightly coloured interactive clock with movable hands to practice essential time-telling skills. Whilst a Primary student worked closely one-on-one with Mrs Watson on the carpet, focusing intently on a sorting and matching activity .
