Celebrating Diversity and Hands-On Learning at Springwell Mablethorpe
This week our students have been engaging in a wonderful variety of hands-on learning, cultural appreciation, and outdoor exploration. From vibrant Indian Experiences to science experiments and outdoor adventurous play, it has been a fantastic week across the school.
Here is a glimpse into what our students and staff have been up to recently:
🕉️ Celebrating Culture and Diversity
Learning about different cultures is a vital part of our curriculum, and our school community recently had a brilliant time bringing this to life through traditional dress & art.
-
A group of students and staff gathered in the school hall for a wonderful photo, all dressed in beautiful traditional South Asian attire.
-
Staff members wore stunning, brightly coloured saris featuring intricate patterns in shades of blue, red, pink, and brown.
-
Two of our students looked incredibly smart in traditional kurtas.
🌲Exploring the Great Outdoors
We love taking our learning and playtime outside to make the most of the fresh air and our fantastic school grounds.
-
Two of our primary students enjoyed some adventurous play by climbing onto a large, gnarled tree trunk situated in our sensory garden area.
-
During this outdoor session, the group utilised wooden log stools and crates for seating to create a collaborative, open-air learning environment.
-
The school’s sensory space provided a perfect backdrop for their learning session.
⚛️ Hands-On Science Experiments
Back inside a primary students have been demonstrating excellent focus during practical science tasks.
-
Working closely with their teacher, one of our primary students recently took part in a hands-on science investigation! The student carefully used a spoon to mix materials inside crinkled aluminium foil, while staff assisted by holding the liquid ready for the next step of the activity.
We are incredibly proud of the curiosity, teamwork, and enthusiasm our students show every day. Keep checking back for more updates on the exciting things happening at Springwell Mablethorpe!
