World of Work & Experiential Learning at Springwell Mablethorpe! π
It has been another action-packed week across our academy, full of hands-on learning, career exploration, and valuable real-world experiences! Here is a roundup of what our fantastic pupils have been up to:
Β
π½οΈ Taster Work Experience at Miller & Carter, Grimsby
Key Stage 4 pupils visited Miller & Carter in Grimsby for a taster work experience session. Sitting down with team members, pupils explored hospitality roles, gained insights into real workplace environments, and got a taste of future career paths in customer service and food preparation!
πΏ Forest School & Outdoor Learning
Out in the fresh air, primary pupils took part in practical Forest School activities. Using loppers and secateurs, students learnt how to safely prune trees and maintain outdoor spaces, building teamwork, practical skills, and confidence along the way.
π Year 10 & Year 11 Visit to Grimsby Institute
To help prepare for life beyond Springwell, our Key Stage 4 pupils took a trip to Grimsby College. They toured campus facilities, including specialised subject areas like art and design, bricklaying & sports centre, giving them a first-hand look at post-16 opportunities and vocational training options.
